‘Lies of P: Overture’ has been named the winner of the ‘Best Game Expansion’ category at the Golden Joystick Awards 2025 (GJA).
The GJA is a globally recognised video game awards ceremony held annually in the United Kingdom since 1983 and organised by GamesRadar+, a leading games media outlet. It is one of the industry’s most influential awards, with winners determined entirely by votes from players around the world.

The award acknowledges ‘Lies of P: Overture’ not simply as a DLC, but as a highly polished expansion that delivers strong craftsmanship and an original narrative within the PC and console action game genre. The recognition is especially meaningful given that it was decided by user voting, once again demonstrating the strength and loyalty of the game’s global fanbase.
Last year’s winner in the same category was ‘Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree’.
‘Lies of P: Overture’ is a prequel to the base game ‘Lies of P’. Set in the past in the city of Krat, it explores the dark secrets surrounding the legendary Stalker, Lea. Upon its global simultaneous launch in June, the expansion topped Steam’s charts, ranking No. 1 in Korea across all categories and No. 1 globally among paid titles. It also received critical acclaim, earning a score of 85 on both Metacritic and OpenCritic, with a 100 percent ‘Critics Recommend’ rating on OpenCritic. Thanks to the DLC’s momentum, the combined global sales of the base game and its expansion surpassed three million units, achieving both commercial success and strong critical reception.
