KRAFTON unveiled ‘Palworld Mobile’, one of its key new titles for G-STAR 2025, during the event. ‘Palworld Mobile’ is a mobile title developed by KRAFTON based on the ‘Palworld’ IP owned by Japan’s Pocketpair, Inc. The original ‘Palworld’, which launched in Early Access last year, surpassed 32 million cumulative players and became a global hit thanks to its focus on collecting mysterious creatures called Pals, exploring vast open fields, crafting, and engaging in intense combat.

The build showcased at G-STAR features a reinterpretation of the original game’s core mechanics tailored for mobile devices. As the current version is still in early development, the game emphasises convenience and accessibility rather than introducing experimental new ideas. Players can enjoy a wide range of content, including Pal training, open-world survival, building, and combat, all with simple two-finger controls.
The story begins as the protagonist awakens in an unfamiliar world and proceeds through a tutorial with the help of Joi Lane, who appears to be a rival character. The first mechanic players learn is crafting.

By collecting scattered wooden planks, they can construct a workbench and craft essential tools such as a stone axe, stone pickaxe, and wooden club for gathering and hunting. Once all basic tools are obtained, the ‘Pal Sphere’ — required for capturing Pals — becomes available to craft. After establishing a base, players can use fast travel with a single tap to return from distant locations.
Because defeated Pals cannot be captured during combat, ‘Palworld Mobile’ introduces a ‘Capture Mode’ that keeps a Pal’s HP at 1, allowing players to capture them safely. After collecting various Pals and crafting a glider and bow, players encounter the first boss. This boss uses wide-range attacks that inflict significant damage, making precise timing on evasive skills crucial. When the boss becomes temporarily vulnerable, players must actively use the skills of their equipped Pals to maximise damage and hunt efficiently.

Additional assist features such as camera-angle switching help ensure that players of all experience levels can adapt quickly to combat.
The demo build also included dungeons, plazas, and raid content. Dungeons feature two-phase progression in which players defeat groups of monsters before confronting a boss. The plaza serves as a social hub where players can interact and use incubators to hatch eggs into new Pals. Raids allow parties of three players to take on challenges, including firearms-based combat similar to the original game.
Meanwhile, KRAFTON plans to conduct a closed alpha test for ‘Palworld Mobile’ in Korea and Japan this December, incorporating participant feedback to further refine and complete the game.
