- STOVE platform makes its official debut in China;
- joint booth operated with Chinese publisher Thermite

SMILEGATE participated in ‘WePlay EXPO 2025’, held on November 22–23 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center. WePlay EXPO is one of China’s leading game culture festivals, bringing together indie, console, and board game titles, and is widely known as a major annual event where players can directly experience upcoming indie games.
At this year’s event, SMILEGATE operated a joint booth with the Chinese publisher Thermite. Thermite is a local publisher known for its wide range of publishing and live service operations focused on indie and online games in the Chinese market. Through this collaboration, SMILEGATE plans to expand its partnership with Thermite and strengthen its publishing network across the Greater China region.
 

The company also officially introduced its STOVE platform to the Chinese market for the first time. By showcasing indie games discovered and published through STOVE, the booth offered local visitors a direct hands-on opportunity, marking the platform’s first step in presenting K-games and Korea’s ESD (Electronic Software Distribution) model to Chinese gamers.
SMILEGATE will continue its presence at major indie game festivals across Asia, including G-EIGHT 2025 on December 12 and the Taipei Game Show 2026 scheduled for early next year.
